Pictures: Opposition claims photo evidence of Al-Qaeda selling military helicopter parts to Syrian government

BEIRUT, LEBANON (6:40 P.M.) – Recently, opposition sources began to accuse Al-Qaeda affiliate militia Ha’yat Tahrir al-Sham of selling salvaged military helicopter parts and equipment from the rebel-held Taftanaz airbase in northern Idlib province to the Syrian government.

Reports by opposition sources state that the Al-Qaeda affiliate militia is loading long-since abandoned military helicopters and other parts onto trucks and moving them to Syrian Army lines in southern Idlib where they are sold off to the Syrian government.

The accusation comes at a time when forces of the Turkish Army are preparing to take over the Taftanaz airbase for use as an operations site to monitor a ceasefire agreement for northwest Syria that was recently brokered between Moscow and Ankara.

Realistically speaking, the images claimed as proof do not prove anything at all. Not only do the images fail to show which faction is transporting the helicopters, but they also fail to prove where the helicopters are being transported to.
